Building Bridges: Season Announcement Party
December 7, 2026 at 7 PM
Find out about the exciting new season of This Bridge Theatre. These productions are yet to be announced, but one will be the selection from our current
Louisville New Play Search, providing a local playwright with an opportunity to see their script come to life. A second production will be pulled from the cannon of historically excellent plays, in the vein of our 2026 performance of Our Town by Thornton Wilder.
Shotz! Louisville
Trianual 10-minute original play festival
This Bridge Theatre’s short play festival Shotz! brings six new short plays to life. How it works: 6 local playwrights are given 2 weeks to write world premier 10 minute plays. Then, local actors and playwrights are given 2 weeks to rehearse, before performing for 1 night only.
The Shotz format was developed by theatrical group AMIOS in New York, and has been performed in Los Angeles, Chicago, London, San Francisco, and now Louisville. Over the past 3 years, Louisville Shotz has produced over 70 original plays by Louisville playwrights.
